Federal Public Service Commission has finally announced the results of CSS 2017 exam which show a very low percentage (3.3%) of passed candidates.
According to statistics, a total of 9,391 candidates appeared in the written examination of the year 2017; out of them, only 312 managed to pass the written exam.
Viva-voce reduced the number of passing candidates and 310 candidates; out of them 199 males and 111 females achieved this milestone.
The statistics of the recent result show that there is a slight improvement in the percentage of passed candidates. 3.3% of candidates have managed to pass the exam in 2017 as compared to last year’s exam when only 2.06% of candidates were cleared by FPSC.
Only 261 aspirants have been recommended for appointments (155 males and 106 females) to posts in BS-17 out of all the qualified candidates, a press release noted.
The results showed that top three positions were clinched by male candidates, Muhammad Awaid Irshad (Punjab domicile) stood first, while Adeel Akbar (Punjab domicile) and Mohammad Murtaza (Sindh urban domicile) secured second and third positions, respectively. Top three position in last year’s competitive exam were bagged by female candidates.
