A ban has been imposed by Federal Directorate of Education on all sort of carbonated and energy drinks in the educational institutions located across the federal area. This ban includes all the institutions run by the government.

The shops located near educational institutions will also be barred from selling any sort of carbonated or energy drinks.

The reason behind this ban is that these drinks are causing diseases in the students and the drinks have been proven dangerous for human consumption. The Federal Directorate of Education has already issued a notification regarding this ban.

Punjab Food Authority has already imposed a ban on the sale of soft drinks in the educational institutions of Punjab and within the radius of 100 meters.
