It was decided to implement the new recruitment policy of the Higher Education Commission in the universities. HEC forms High Level Committee on Basic Pay Scale Recruitment Policy.
According to details, a seven-member committee of vice chancellors has been formed for recruitment of teachers in universities. The Vice-Chancellors Committee will make recommendations on recruitment policy within a month.
The committee includes Vice Chancellor Lahore College Dr. Bushra Mirza, Vice Chancellor GCU Dr. Asghar Zaidi. The committee also includes vice chancellors from all four provinces and representatives from the Ministry of Education.
It should be noted that HEC has the authority to implement uniform recruitment policy in universities, only HEC recruitment policy will be implemented in universities.
Following the recommendations of the Vice-Chancellors Committee, the HEC will issue a new policy on teacher recruitment.
