Islamabad: The renowned Poetess of Pakistan Parveen Shakir left the world and her followers behind 24 years ago at a very young age. Her 24^th death anniversary is celebrated on 26^th December. She has a great contribution in the modern Urdu Literature and female expression of emotions through her words.

Parveen Shakir was born on 24^th November 1952. She got birth in the city of lights Karachi. Parveen Shakir became famous for the eastern style of writing and depicting the issues of working-class women. Parveen had an amazing grip on emoting emotions through words. Moreover, her famous works include Inkaar ,Khushbu’,’ Mah-e-Tamam Sad-Barg’ and ‘Khud kalaami’. However, the young and talented poetess left the world on 26^th December 1994 due to a car accident in Islamabad.
