Islamabad, Shafqat Mahmood federal minister for education and vocational training has called special meeting of all provincial education ministers. The aim of the meeting to discuss the coronavirus related issues and early winter holidays of the students for their safety from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Federal education ministry informed, the meeting will be held on Monday November 16, 2020 at the NCOC National Command Operation Center location to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic in educational institutes.
Letter for attending the meeting has send to all the provinces education minsters including, Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan by the educational ministry.
Early and extended winter vocation recommendation has been given by the Asad Umar federal minister for planning, development and reforms earlier as there is seen high rate of virus in the educational institutes.
There was closure of all the educational institutes in the country from March to September, and in the last week meeting it was decided as there will be not any winter vocation this year.
According to current stats, total number of cases in Pakistan are, 349,992, out of which 7055 peoples are dies because of virus. 22,088 people are isolated and being treated in homes and hospital, out of which 1,164 are in serious condition, 320,849 patients are recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
