Consideration is being given to providing free transport facilities in the Orange Train to the students studying in the schools. The Orange Train can be used to drop off children from school and drop them off at home.
According to sources, in the first phase, two lakh students will be issued travel passes. The Orange Train administration will soon hold a meeting with the leaders of different schools. Children will be provided transportation facilities in the future.
Serving Schools Association President Mian Raza-ur-Rehman said that the decision to issue concessional passes for children to travel on the Orange Train is welcome.
Reza-ur-Rehman further said that the provision of free transport facilities to school children on the Orange Train would also reduce the traffic congestion in the city.
