COMSATS changes admission requirements

Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan had advised the universities to start developing their online policy on exams and admissions as situation of corona virus is becoming severe and returning back to the normal conditions seems difficult. In response to such advice, COMSATS university had announced a major change in their admissions policy for 2020 which states that there will be no entry tests for the first time in the history of university. However, these changes are applicable to non-engineering programs of Bachelor’s level only.

The candidates applying for engineering and even architect programs will have to sit in an entry test but architect candidates will also have to pass a drawing test. All the candidates will be finally assessed using an interview. The merit of admissions will be based on 20% marks from matriculation and 80% from intermediate. On the other hand, criteria for all MS and PhD programs will remain unchanged and their admission dates will be announced later. COMSATS will start their student intake from 1st August, 2020.
