The key role in developing the relations of China and Pakistan can be played by the China Study Centre at the University of Peshawar (UoP), stated Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing during a visit to the center at the University of Peshawar (UoP) on Thursday.

This center also provides opportunities to lessen the distance between the people of both of the nations and is important for the Chinese students to learn about Pakistan, he further said.

 “We are ready for [extending] every kind of support to enhance the educational opportunities for people of both countries,” the ambassador stated.

The Chinese government will provide more scholarships to the Pakistani students in order to strengthen the relationship between the nations, Mr. Jing added.

The ambassador was briefed about the history and function of the center by UoP Vice Chancellor Muhammad Asif Khan.
