Located in the city Cairo, Egypt, one of the oldest universities Al-Azhar has offered 50 scholarships to Pakistani students apart from establishing its language center in Islamabad and organizing training workshops for the Ulema of Pakistan.
Shaikh Al-Azhar Professor Dr Ahmed Tayyeb made the announcement during his talk while to Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sarddar Muhammad Yousaf. The minister had met him on Wednesday in Egypt.
Al Azhar was offering the true picture of Islam and its services are extraordinary, said the minister while he was talking to Shaikh Al Azhar Professor Dr Ahmed Tayyeb. The university has been serving Islam and Muslims since last thousand years and the education will help in eliminating the terrorism and extremism, the minister further said.
