Islamabad: AIOU will soon launch its new programme based on ‘Seerat-un- Nabi’ on Masters, M.Phil and Ph.D. level, stated Vice Chancellor (VC) of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui.
The university will arrange an annual competition of book writing on ‘Seerat-un- Nabi’ and the best book will get special prize, he further said while speaking to ‘Mehfil-e- Naat’, arranged by the University’s Employees Welfare Association (EWA) as a part of ‘Jashan-e-Milad-un-Nabi’.
Recently, a research journal titled as ‘Seerat-un- Nabi’ was published by the university which has been awarded as the best publication of the year 2017.
“It was great pride to secure a leading position in projecting the teachings of Islam, particularly in the context of Seerat-un- Nabi,” the VC said.
He further said, “the teachings of the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) is a best source of inspiration and guidance for having a successful life here and hereafter.”
