Academicians protest for not increasing salaries and pensions

Federal government has recently announced financial budget for 2020 – 2021 but certain parts of society has shown their resentment over it. The Headmasters’ association of Punjab has made it loud and clear that government is crushing the veteran academicians by neither increasing their salaries nor pensions. Moreover, the teachers’ union has also registered their concerns by stating that taxation is damaging the private schools as it is a merciless decision by the government. Teachers and Headmasters have jointly made a statement on budget that it is unjust and forceful decision to be followed.

They have requested Federal government to look after their decision of not increasing salaries and pensions as it has become mandatory owing to the economic situation of country. All Pakistan Private Schools Federation have disapproved the financial budget and requested Prime Minister, Imran Khan to announce a Tax Free Relief Education Package for them. The request for opening of schools by adhering to all the SOPs is also being put forward to Prime Minister, Chief Justice and Prime Minister. Private Schools Federation has requested the honorable authorities to kindly open the schools as per the regulations on which other professions have been opened up. Moreover, they have also developed and shared globally accepted SOPs for opening up of schools.
