Approximately 50 plus ghost schools have been identified across the Sindh province on Friday, September 07, 2018. In addition, the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) had allocated Rs50 million for these exposed ghost schools with the collaboration of public and private institutions.
Sindh Education Foundation has spent a huge amount of funds for the 52 exposed ghost schools in various underprivileged areas, including Larkana, Hyderabad, Dadu, Tharparkar, Sanghar, and Mirpur Khas. Moreover, these excessive funds have been spent in these regions because of no government educational institutes.
The Managing Director of Sindh Education Foundation, Naheed Durrani said on Friday, that she has already written a letter to the anti-corruption department to take strong action against the administration of these schools and to recover the excessive funds.
According to the documents and their copies, these ghost schools were governed under the supervision of different Non-governmental Organizations (NGO’s) and the private sectors. These funds had been spent by these organizations only for the development of schools and to construct the roof of education on children heads.
