second international conference being held in PU. The conference is held by the department of Information Management over the issue of ‘Information management and Libraries’. The venue of conference is the auditorium of University’s Law College. Provincial Education minister Raja Yasir Humayon Sarfraz said that the promotion of higher education is in the priorities of government. It will turn all higher educational institutes in the excellent research centers. Chairman Punajb HEC Dr. Nizamuddin , Vice chancellor PU Professor Dr. Niyaz Ahmad, Chairman information management department Professor Dr. Khalid Mehmood and Chair of conference   Dr. Kanwal Amin attended the conference. Moreover more than 400 researchers, scholars, lecturers and students from USA,UK, Malaysia, Kenya, Kuwait, India, Iran and Pakistan participated in this conference.

Provincial education minster Raja Yasir Humayon Sarfraz later said that latest technology has changed the sources of information. Better searching skills can play influential role in developing better researchers. He said that we need to rearrange our libraries because there is a great contribution of libraries in optimal research. He further added that the government will establish department to promote research.
