QS with Massachusetts Institute of Technology has launched the list of top 1000 universities of the  world. The four positions are secured by American universities including Stanford University and Harvard University. US and UK based universities have claimed mostly all top 10 positions.

Some of the famous Pakistani Universities have also proved their mark by getting a place in top 1000 universities of the world. Surprisingly Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences has crossed National University of Science and Technology. The ranks of Universities are

PIEAS is on 397^th position , NUST is on 417^th position, Quaid e Azam University is between 551-560. LUMS is between 701-750, COMSATS is between 751-800 , UET Lahore is between 801-1000 and lastly PU is also between 801-1000.
