The entire educational system has gone online with classes and now examination following the same pattern. HEC had advised all the universities to continue online classes until further improvement in the heath situation due to covid-19. However, all private and public sector institutes were informed to develop a policy related to online exams. Few of the universities took lead by not only developing the policy but getting it approved from their respective academic councils and forwarding it to HEC for final approval and guidance. These universities included University of Agriculture in Faisalabad as they have been successful in conducting midterm exam using online platform.
Vice chancellor of the university informed the media that they have been successful in conducting the first online exam in the history if university. The guidance was provided through google classrooms and integrating with their own learning management system. Students replied in a very positive manner to University’s call as turnout was above 90% in the 1st online exam. Those who were unable to attend midterm exam due to internet connectivity issues will be facilitated at a later stage. Lastly, VC thanked all the platforms that were being used for continuing academic activities, such as, LMS, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube and Google Classrooms.
