Islamabad: Under the latest developments and new rules and regulations by the government Higher Education Commission is to change its funding policy for Universities of Public Sector.

The Government has advised HEC to develop policies for transferring funds to all of the public universities. In this regard, HEC has taken the decision to bind the Public Universities to collect 20 percent revenue by itself until the year 2022. The formulated committee has to provide further suggestions on the policy which are to be submitted in the period of one month. The committee is headed by Dr. Faruq Bazai, the VC of Balochistan University of Science and Technology. However, the funds will be transferred for other developmental projects.
