CM Eliminates Board Exams for Class 5 Students

LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that our country is facing grave internal and external issues, therefore, the PTI government is firm for bringing improvement in the national economy and to strengthen the living standard of the common man.

Speaking to the people in a ceremony of Slam Teachers’ Day at Awan-e-Iqbal on Saturday, he explained that there is only propaganda of a “Long march” just to weaken the government. He said if the opposition should launch a “long march” against poverty, unemployment, backwardness besides increasing health and education connected facilities, I would also participate in a long march. The Chief Minister also awarded honorary certificates to the teachers for their outstanding performance. He added that in making minds and thinking the approach of students, teachers always play a vital role. Usman Buzdar explained his feelings of joy for attending the ceremony of “Salam Teachers’ Day”. He said that teachers are the most respectable figures of society and their government has taken many positive steps for the welfare of teachers. It is for the first time in the history of Pakistan that 20,000 teachers have been transferred on merit by an e-transfer policy introduced by PTI.

Usman Buzdar told that cramming culture in public schools will be replaced soon by teaching education in Urdu medium at the primary level on the initial stage. He declared to eradicate board exams for class 5 students and issued Insaf Health cards for teachers and their family members. He added that the cash prizes and commendatory certificates would also be awarded to the teachers for their best performances under the Chief Minister Award Scheme.

 School Education Secretary Imran Bokhari said that school teachers would be awarded the teacher of the year award with cash prize and certificate as well.
