Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sahiwal is the autonomous unit that regulates the matriculation and Intermediate examination in the district. Mainly the exams for Higher Secondary School Certification also called as Intermediate are carried out in the months of May and June. The date sheet is announced one month before the exams for the relaxation of students. And the results are disclosed in September or October after 2- 3 months of the exams.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sahiwal governs the exams of Matriculation and Intermediate in Sahiwal city. All the schools and colleges are related with the board so the exams are accomplished throughout the whole community simultaneously. The board has several department for it's differed chores. And their fundamental purpose is to organize the transparent examination throughout the city. Primary objectives of BISE Sahiwal is allotment of the roll number slips for the students, the slips are then given to their institutes, appointment of the centres, hiring the invigilation faculty, insuring the privacy and secrecy of the question papers etc. Exams for Intermediate are executed into two shifts that are Morning Shift and Evening shift. Morning Shift exams timings are 8am to 11am while evening shift timings are 12am to 3am. Different question papers are formulated for both the shifts. Safety of all the centers is also made evident. Students from affiliated institutes get themselves enrolled with the board to take the exams. Students fill the enrollment form for this mission. Private students can also get benefits and they may appear in the exams as private competitors by filling the enrollment form. This way the students from different and minor areas are also catered.

Intermediate grade comprises 11th and 12th class known as Preliminary year and Final year respectively. They are the central year of institute life of a student and hence an absolute crucial phase for him to build or spoil his future. The subjects appointed at this grade comprise important part in the Student's job and career. So students must prefer the subjects according to their interest. The students have vast choices for the intermediate subjects and courses. FA or Intermediate in Fine Arts is one of the allotted degree option in Intermediate. FA is a two year degree program like other inter degree schemes. Students who are enthusiastic in constructing or comprehending various languages etc mostly belong to FA degree. It have it's important subjects like Home economics, Fine Arts, Literature etc and necessary subjects like English, Urdu, Islamic studies and Pak studies. FA part 1 and FA part 2, both these parts conserve the indistinguishable weightage of 50% each and the total weightage of FA is assessed after the ending of both parts. Hence hardwork is crucial in both years. And if one couldn't earn it in the annual exams than supplementary exams are being executed later in the same year for those who seek to amend and achieve adequate grades or clear a pending subject and for the students who couldn't finish the final exam of Intermediate part 2. The students who fail to achieve reasonable grades or pass the final exam of FA part 1 have a consolation to pass it next year with the annual part 1 exams while pursuing their part 2 final exams.

BISE Sahiwal is plausible for carrying out the supplementary exams too from the students who couldn't make through the exams for whatever defenses. The supplementary exams for inter part 2 are administered in November And the date sheet is circulated a month before exams. The supplementary exams for Inter part 1 are not held up separately. Rather the students give the exams next year with part 1 annual exams.
