Since 1947, the examination of matriculation and intermediate levels were conducted and regulated by it's patronage University of Punjab. In 1954, the amendment was being made in the Punjab University Act Ordinance 1954 and Board of intermediate and secondary education was established. BISE was made to regulate and control the examination body for matriculation and intermediate level. In 1955, Board of Intermediate and secondary education BISE conducted it's first examination session for matric and intermediate grades. Enormous increase in student enrollment led to the formation of two new boards BISE Multan and BISE Sargodha which were developed under West Pakistan Board of intermediate and secondary education. With the passage of time further branches of BISE were formed at Rawalpindi and Gujranwala to conduct and control exam sessions and other related activities. Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act 1976 escorted the reestablishment of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Education, Lahore. The head office of Board of intermediate and secondary education is situated in Lahore.

BISE Lahore is one of the famous and largest examination controlling institution in the region of Punjab. It is devoted to provide the services to students and work hard with them for their bright future and prosperity. It manages the whole process of conducting examination. That includes making the 2 different papers for different shifts for a single subject, changes in the paper pattern like ot did some years ago by moving from subjective papers to almost 60% objective one, finalize changes, making all the schools amd institutions to know the new paper pattern, generation and issuance of roll number slips, decisions of examination centers and halls, decision of papers taking staff and superintendents in all the centres, even distribution of candidates in different centers, Conducting the exams on morning and evening shifts, ensuring the transparency and discrepancies free method of examination, paper checking, and uploading and announcing results.

BISE Lahore regulates and control all the activities from issuing the roll number slip to successfully scheduling and conducting the exams with transparency at every level to ensure the honesty in process. BISE Lahore mainly control Matriculation(9th and 10th grade) exams, and intermediate (11th and 12th grade) exams. Firstly in March and April matric exams are being held then later in May and June examination of intermediate exams are being conducted, theory papers are mostly in month of May while practical exams for Science group are being conducted in June. The inter exams are divided in 2 regimes, part 2 (12th grade) exams are held before and intermediate part 1 (11th grade) are being conducted after all the classes.

BISE Lahore Intermediate date Sheet 2020 isn't published yet. The date Sheet of BISE Lahore 2020 is divided in 2 halves , the first half exam session of intermediate part 2 would start from 22nd June 2020 and onwards than comes the second half exam session for intermediate part 1. Intermediate level plays a vital role in pursuing the desired career at later stages. It is divided in 2 parts with 1part per years. Inter part 1 and inter part 2, both these parts carry the same weightage of 50% each and the total weightage of intermediate is calculated after the completion of both parts. Hence hardwork is mandatory in both years. And if one couldn't make it in the annual exams than supplementary exams are being conducted later in the same year for those who want to revise to get good grades or clear a pending subject and for the students who couldn't pass the final exam of Intermediate part 2. The students who fail to give or pass the final exam of Intermediate part 1 have a chance to clear it next year with the annual part 1 exams while attempting their part 2 final exams. If the desired career is in medical or engineering than up to 90% of total marks are required in both Intermediate levels for getting admission in a govt institution. After matriculation, intermediate is a career defining degree for students because it leads the individuals to the specific professional e.g. If opting a Pre medical subject in FSc then the profession would be in medical related fields like medical science, dentistry or specialized qualifications in q respective subject So wisely choosing the subjects according to the interest and scope is the core requirement. In 2019, BISE Lahore announced the date Sheet of intermediate in mid of April and exams were conducted in May to onwards . BISE Lahore date sheet are announced almost a month before the commencement of exams just to give students prior preparation time. According to the present information, BISE Lahore Intermediate Date Sheet 2020 isn't announced yet, the exams for BISE Lahore intermediate part 2 exams for year 2020 were scheduled in the mid of April, 2020 and onwards. As soon as BISE Gujranwala update and publish date sheet, we would share here too. But it is expected to be published in May 2020 for the commencement of BISE Lahore intermediate exams 2020.
