Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi BIEK is the main controlling body of Sindh province which conduct and regulate all the matric and intermediate level examinations and other activities. Beside that all the schools and colleges are under the Karachi Board and have to follow their instructions regarding matric and inter levels. They mainly schedule Matric exams, update the courseworks and exams procedure and distribute updated policies and procedures to all the institute. For matric exams, students application form are being provided, after that filled forms are being registered and roll number slips are bring issued for every student . The roll number slips than are distributed to the institutes to be given to students, other than that BIEK also appoint teachers and examiners for the intermediate exams at both shifts morning and evening, several colleges and schools are being chosen to be the exam centers and students are being distributed according to the area and schools. They organize intermediate exam which are divided in two years , 11th class exams and 12th class exams. And it's the first most crucial stage after matric level in students life that decide their further career because marks in intermediate are the major deciding factor for admission in their desired University and degree program in a graduate level.
Moreover, 11th class is the stage when students get to make their own decision and choice regarding their subjects as their main subjects at matric level. Intermediate part 1 and part 2 exams are held for both 11th and 12th class separately And hence both are being conducted annually each year. In 11th class , students have to make their mind according to what their future goals are and hence they have vast variety of subjects to select from for themselves and their selected subjects lead them too one step closer to their future profession. The subject options have been provided to students to select and opt in 11th class according to their interest. The main subject options have been dividing in the science group and arts group, science group which is further divided into computer science with subjects physics, computer science, maths etc and life sciences which include physics, chemistry and biology etc. Other than science student can opt for Arts too as a main subject in 11th class. The compulsory subjects for 11th class are English, Urdu , Islamic Studies, and Pakistan Studies. The total of matriculation marks are dependant on the marks obtained in 11th grade and 12th grade. 11th class exams have theoretical part as well as practical part depending on the subjects. And students need to get passing marks in both parts to get promoted in next level. Bise Karachi BIEK 11th class date sheet is scheduled for both theoretical and practical parts. And exams are begin with theoretical part then after the completion of theoretical part, 11 class practical exams are being carried out with a gap of few days to a week approx. All the practical exams are scheduled with few number of holidays in each just to give enough time to students to take a grip on practical part and prepare the practical file.
It conducts exams in April and publish date sheet one month prior in March. After date sheet and paper commencement phase, comes the most crucial time that's result declaration phase and it's very critical phase for students as it portrays their hard work and dedication and evaluate performance. Based on their performance students are considered pass or fail, those who could not pass all the subjects need to repeat the papers and appear in supply exams that held later in the same year.
