Who Can Apply for CSS?

The examination for Central Superior Services is desired by many aspirants of the government jobs. Every year thousands of students appear in CSS exams in four provinces of Pakistan. The confusions and myths about the eligibility and difficulty of the exams float around the students throughout the year. The confusion leads to ambiguity and students fail to apply for the examination in due time and date. People sometimes do not complete the necessary requirements for the CSS examination in the application form which leads to rejection of their admission.

They question that am I eligible for CSS is the dilemma for all the CSS aspirants. So here we are mentioning all the complete criteria for application of the CSS examination.

  1. The Age Limit

The age limit causes confusions mostly for the students who are either younger or older than the asked age for CSS. The age limit starts from 21 years to 30 years for the regular students who want to appear for the examination but exemption of age limit until 30 is made in special cases such as

  1. Candidates of Scheduled Caste or Budhist Community
  2. The candidates belonging to the recognized Tribes
  3. Permanent Residents of AJK and Gilgit Baltistan
  4. Disabled
  5. In Service Government Servants, Armed Forces Personnel, Contract Employees
  1. Education and Qualification

The students who want to appear in the CSS examination must have completed graduation that is 14 years of education. The degree must be recognized by the government of Pakistan. The eligibility criteria for application in CSS require you to have at least passed your graduation in 2nd division.

The students who have passed in 3rd division can become eligible in case the student has a degree of masters after graduation.

 

  1. Nationality

The Aspirants of government jobs after CSS examination must have Pakistani Nationality; only Pakistani nationals can appear for the exam. Moreover the students from the state of Jammu and Kashmir are also eligible for the CSS examination.

Here it is important to notice that a person who is married to a foreign state citizen cannot apply for the examination unless a prior permission in taken from the government of Pakistan.

  1. Domicile

The students who want to apply for the CSS examination have to submit the copies of their legal documents with the examination form. The legal Domicile certificate is inevitable for the being eligible for CSS. The Domicile of respective region is very important when you apply on provincial and regional quota.
