Importance of humanistic rights in Islam – Haqooq ul Ibad
When we talk about the word Islam it narrates the meaning religion, which is automatically bind-up with the school of thought Islam, antonym world. Islam is not only a religion but it’s the way living life. As the relation of Allah and Man have the utmost importance in Islam, hence it also urges the human duties or rights over another human or vice versa. These duties are comprehensively described in the light of Quran and Hadith. Some of the rights of human over human are mentioned below. I will discuss it in a unique and comprehensive way.
After Allah, the pure and natural relation human restore in the world is with his parents. They love and care for their child without any mean besides the mean relation of a human with the world. We should thank Allah for the wonderful blessing. It gives you Goosebumps when you ever had a little thought of losing them at some point in the life. Who can feel more pain beside orphans? The cost of parents cannot be filled by the amount of money as anyone had in the bank account.
Whatever the religion is, parents must be treated with respect and care when they come to the old age. I have seen many people in many religions even, Muslims, behaving worst with their parents, especially when they reach the old age then they are sent to the old home. Neglect them easy, but what will you do when all the blessings will take off by Allah’s commands! So we should take care and love them with all while obeying them. We should never try to berate them at any moment and in any case. Both parents have their own place in our religion Islam. Even our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) has urged that the biggest right on a Muslim man is of his mother. It is also our duty to take care our father so as he did with us when he was young.
After the supernatural relation of parents, the beautiful relationship that comes after filling the rights of parents is husband and wife relation. According to the prospects of Islam, both are commanded to fulfill the rights of each other by taking care of each other and living with patience and love. In Islam, it’s the duty of the woman to take care and follow the orders of his husband while on the other hand, it’s the duty of the husband to respect his wife and to fulfill her every potential need. Whereas it’s the duty of a husband and a wife to arrange resources for their children and the family.
Islam gives a fair protection to the poor and orphan people of the society. Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam which urges people to help needy and orphan people through their amount of income. So in this way, the wealth will be in control while providing the deprived people their rights. Orphans should be taken under the close relatives’ observation while treating them with love and care while dealing their matter and circumstances.
Teachers are the mentors who guide you knowledge so therefore they should be well treated according to the structured right of Islam. It’s the responsibility of every student to give respect and honor to their teachers as they deserve according to Islam.
One of the vital roles of the Muslim is his good relationship with the neighbor. No doubt when we approach any emergency situation our neighbors come to our homes for help. So in this way, we should also be helpful towards them if they are facing any problem. We should visit our neighbors if they are ill and should also bring them some food stuff for their need. Because ill person recovers more frequently when it see people around them for care and help.
In this way, we can assume the beauty of the religion Islam that how beautifully it covers all aspects of life through humanity without any discrimination.
